I have worked really hard to implement small group guided instruction in my math classroom. Students tend to grasp concepts better in a small group setting verses the whole group. Small group instruction allows me to easily assess their knowledge of the concept I am teaching. Small group instruction also encourages collaboration between the students and teacher. Having this white board table will allow me to meet with a small group of students and easily see their thought processes for math problems. It will also allow the students to visualize their work and make corrections as needed. Having this table will also cut down on our paper usage because students can work on the table!
