My students will benefit from reading "Scholastic News" throughout the year because of the varied text and photographs they include with the articles. We are in great need of additional resources due to many cuts in the county and state budget, which does not allow purchasing of resources. We make a lot of copies of articles and stories, but they are not as appealing as a colorful article. Scholastic News articles are also a great resource for students to connect with and to be more informed about what is going on around the world. My hope is that they will become more knowledgable and tolerant of others as they gain more insight from articles read in the magazine.
