Over the years I have recognized that all students have different learning needs and I need to adjust and differentiate my classroom to meet their needs. The goal of differentiated instruction is to create learning opportunities that make it possible for all students to learn in their own unique way. Students learn best by working together. They develop a higher-level thinking, stronger oral communication skills, self-management, and leadership skills. Tables encourage collaborative learning. Students will choose where they will sit and what type of seating they will have. Research shows that the power of choice increases student motivation, focus and engagement during instruction.
