Thank you for your support the experience gained from the tournament at Yale University will help our program at Clifton High School. The team participated in four individual trials and had a chance to win eight ballots from the dual judges during each trial. Our team won 2 out of the 8 ballots but the competition experience has motivated our team to focus on our state and county tournaments respectively. The confidence from all who participated shows. Our students also had the experience to walk around and learn the history about the beautiful Yale campus during some cool crisp Fall days and evenings. As an educator I could truly say this event has had a tremendous impact on my student's lives.”

Clifton High School is composed of an incredibly rich and diverse population of over 3,000 students located in a suburban area 20 minutes outside of NYC. Diversity is our school's greatest strength! The pillars of our mock trial team are Honesty, Integrity, and Ethics. Our members embody those characteristics and work veraciously to spread those sentiments throughout their community. Members of our team are as diverse as the school population. They have various socioeconomic backgrounds; many of their parents speak a language other than English as their primary language. The majority are on free or reduced rate lunch, with one or both parents working full-time. Funding for the team is raised through member's fund-raising activities throughout the school year. Most teammates are also members of the Key Club and volunteer throughout the year.
