  • Let's Learn Guitar!

    Funded Feb 21, 2023

    Your generous donation made it possible for our school to have enough guitars for each 4th grader to learn on their own guitar. No one had to share, which means they each got the full period to practice instead of sharing half their guitar time with a partner.

    It's hard enough to learn guitar with only one 50 minute period of music per week to learn and practice on the guitar. Thankfully, our 4th graders no longer need to share and only get 25 minutes...they all get the full 50 minutes, now, thanks to your kind donation.

    And we were also able to purchase a few guitar foot stools to help the students' maintain a healthier playing posture, allowing them to achieve better and more relaxed technique.

  • I Got Rhythm (have talented drum student...need drumset)

    On behalf of my school, I wish to thank you for the immense joy you brought both to our school's talented student drummer and to all the other members of our school band, and indeed to the entire graduating class who got to sing with the band as their back-up. They were all delighted at each rehearsal to be able to make music together. You should have seen the shine in their eyes as they heard what a difference it made now to be able to have our talented young drummer accompany them thanks to the beautiful new drum set you generously gave.

    Finally, I wish to thank you myself. At the beginning of this school year, I was uniquely impressed and surprised at the immense musical talent demonstrated by the young student who showed up to audition on a practice drum pad. But I was also worried and saddened that I might not be able to include such a deserving student in the band since I had never included a drummer before, didn't have a drum set, and didn't know how we would get one. Thanks to you, my heart was lifted.
