Winning Readers! This is what I call my 7th graders. I would love to have them read Stella by Starlight as their first class novel. I want to foster a positive reading environment by having my students read a novel in which the main characters look like them. I do believe this will spark an interest in my winning readers. By reading a novel in which the characters look like my students they are not only learning to love reading, they are also realizing they can make a big difference in the world by reading about kids their age doing big things. With help I can support my 7th graders new found love for reading and create those Winning Readers!
