The goal of my project is to create a sensory room for students with Autism and Multiple Disabilities to have a safe and engaging environment. I hope to provide an opportunity for them to enjoy a variety of sensory experiences. The sensory room materials: pea pod, ball chairs, weighted lap pads, body sox, and other items will be therapeutic which will generate a relaxing and calming effect. Students will engage in stimulating activities. These activities will enhance their sensory input to create a soothing effect and increase productivity throughout the school day. The new anticipated sensory room will tremendously benefit their educational experience!
