Since my classroom has such a range of reading levels and skills, I need a guided reading station to address my students' needs. I am requesting a Horseshoe Activity Table and five chairs. This table allows more individualized attention to address specific reading and writing skills. This area in the classroom will also allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. My students will be grouped according to levels or skills and to able to practice on skills that will help them grow. It is easier to work with students in a horseshoe seating arrangement instead of table desks. It provides the shy or struggling students more confidence by being in a small group setting. While the more advanced students will get their chance to have individualized attention to help them grow too by providing challenging instruction.
