Have Fun Learning with Engagement Tools
Funded Aug 11, 2024Thanks to your generous donation of art supplies, my students now have access to quality tools that make creating art fun and vibrant. The slate boards are also frequently used for writing and math practice during both whole-group and small-group instruction.
When the materials arrived, my students were thrilled to see them for the first time and couldn't wait to start using them. Now, the art supplies and slate boards have become essentials that my students eagerly reach for every day.
I feel fortunate to have enough art tools and slate boards for each student, eliminating the need for sharing. I plan to continue using them throughout the year and for many more years to come as essential learning tools.”

Wobble Stools for Wiggly Kindergartners
Funded Sep 22, 2023I can't thank you enough for your generous donation to help purchase the wobble stools. When my students first saw the new stools, they were ecstatic. These stools helped my students stay focused while they work on their assignments at their desks. The stools gave my students the option to wiggle side to side without any noise or distraction.
My students are taking good care of these stools. They keep the stools clean and are gentle with them. I'm sure the stools will last for years to come and many more students will get to enjoy them. Thanks again for your support.”

Magnify Students' Learning
Funded Aug 7, 2022My class and I are grateful for your donation to purchase a new document camera this school year. The document camera has been used multiple times everyday for our lessons. The students enjoyed read alouds more clearly with the book being projected to the Prowise (large screen computer). They also can see instructions clearly. Students were proud when their work is being projected onto the big screen. The document camera can be easily moved place to place to show things around the classroom. I can't express enough how valuable the document camera is for me and my students. It's a must have instructional tool that will be used throughout the years. From the bottom of my heart, thank you again donors.”

Funded Aug 13, 2019The STEAM materials have been super helpful in my classroom. The students use them during their STEAM Choice Time which is different centers where students can tinker, create, and build with the materials. These materials allow students to collaborate, socialize, and problem solve together. They are proud of team effort when they're able to create and build something together.
I introduced each STEAM material one at a time to my students. Each time we opened a new material, they would get super excited and got really engaged with the materials. They know to take good care of the materials because it's special.
My students will continue to have good use of the materials throughout the school year. I will be able to see them get more creative using the materials. And most importantly, these STEAM materials will strengthen their teamwork and help make them better problem solvers and communicators. My students and I are very grateful for your support in getting these precious materials.”

Funded Aug 1, 2017My students have been using the book bins daily for our reading workshop time. The book bins allow each student to store their books and management folders. Students can carry their book bins from the shelf to their reading spots.
My students love the different colors of the book bins, and they were able to identify their book bin base on the colors and the number labels on the book bins. They learn to take care of the book bins and organizational skills too.
I can't imagine how reading workshop time would run as smoothly without these sturdy book bins. These book bins will be used all year long and years to come. I really appreciate these bins. Thank you.”

Funded Aug 4, 2017My students have been using the wobble stools daily at desk time. They love that they can gently wobble back and forth when they're sitting on the stools. They are light weight and space savers.
This year I have two special needs students and the wobble stools are helping them stay in their seats and keep them on task. The stools also give them a sense of structure knowing that the stools can give them comfort.
I truly believe that the stools are helping my students with their fidgeting habits and allowing them to stay on tasks. I was concerned that the stools would cause problems such as students falling from the wobbling; however that wasn't true. The stools are a beneficial tool and furniture for my students. I appreciate this funded project with all my heart.”

Funded Jul 16, 2017With the GoPro camera and assessories, my students are able to take turns wearing it to film their adventures at school. Then they get to play back their video to help them remember the details of events. My students get more excited about writing about their stories when they are able to use the GoPro camera.
Some of my students like wearing the GoPro on their chest harness while some like to hand held the device. Either way they get to experiment with what they can capture on the camera. Sometimes my students would plan how they want their adventures to go.
The GoPro is easy to use, and my students are definitely looking forward to their turn in using the camera. My class and I are grateful to have the GoPro to make learning innovative and fun. Thank you donors for your support in turning this project a reality.”

Funded Jun 8, 2017My classroom rug has been used by my students multiples times daily. Every morning we have our gathering at the rug for classroom routines. Students would sing songs for the calendar and weather routines. After that we use the rug for whole group instructions during writing, reading, and math times. When not use for whole class and small group instruction, students use the rug for choice activities, such as using building blocks, floor puzzles, and big books reading.
My students love the colorful rug, and knows that they all have a spot on the rug. They prefer going to the rug for any activity when given a choice. The individual colored squares help my students with the rug use expectation. My students all contribute in helping keep the classroom rug. They would pick up any little pieces of paper they find to the trash can.
I'm grateful to have this classroom rug for my kindergartners. It gave my classroom a bright and happy feeling. It's the most used area of my classroom, and I can't imagine effective teaching without it. The rug will be host many more events and activities for my students this year. It will definitely continue to make more memories and seat many more students in the future. I appreciate your support in helping me with this project.”
