I borrowed a set of Cubelets Robot Blocks during the Week of Code last year, and the student engagement was incredible. After the Week of Code the Cubelets had to be returned, however, students throughout the school have continued to express their desire to design and build robots using Cubelets. Through the manipulation of Cubelets, students will develop the 21st Century collaborative and problem-solving skills crucial to their educational and professional success. Since all students in grades K-5 visit the library, they can all work collaboratively on coding skills and the design of functioning robots. Another benefit is Cubelets do not require reading or writing, so students of all ages, and ability levels, are able to utilize the tool.
