  • We Need Backpack Storage Please

    Funded Nov 14, 2024

Thank you for funding our backpack storage rack. It was been so nice to have the students easily and nicely hang their backpacks and lunch boxes up without any trouble. In the past we attempted to use s hooks to hang out belonging off of the antitheft fencing across our classroom windows but that was very problematic. The hooks would fall in between the window and fencing, hooks where too high for students to reach, not enough space for everyone, weight of backpacks would cause them to fall into the walk space.

Now thanks to your donation this is no longer and issue for us! Thank you!”

    Mrs. Lucas

  • Tablets for Aviation Exploration!

    Funded Sep 10, 2024

Thank you for funding our project! We have had so much fun creating and printing. The tablets have helped us explore different options for flying. We have used our tablets to find aviation related prints. In addition to this we have also used to the tablets to do other types of research as well as for some of usual learning programs.

So far we have printed items already created just for fun, like common characters we all know and love, various animal models to go along with content we are learning. We have even learned how to scale items as well as to print multiple items at the same time.

    Thank you for funding us!”

  • Building Model Planes That Fly

    Funded Sep 8, 2024

Thank you for funding our project! we have had so much fun creating and printing. My students love 3d printing. They sometimes just watch at the filament gets melted and woven across the plate to build their print! We are excited to continue printing.

Our airplanes haven't quite worked out yet. we are still working this out but we have had fun printing model tree seeds and studying how they fall. This has helped us understand seed dispersal.

    Thank you for funding us!”

  • 3d Printing in an Elementary School

    Funded Aug 18, 2024

We have enjoyed our 3-d printer!! We have printed a variety of items ranging from weights to help our planes fly, animal figures to match our writing pieces, and even Christmas decorations!!

My students are so amazed to see how a 3-d figure gets printed by what they call "melted string". When we return from our break we plan to use the printer to create our own creations. We will start small with personalized key chains.

Thank you for funding our project. Without your support we would have been unable to get this wonderful pieces of technology?”

Thank you for the table! It was been put to great use already! We have enjoyed using it during small group sessions, parent conference and even open space to use to work with a partner or even independently.

Not only is it functional but it looks great!!! Having a nice new piece of furniture makes that work area inviting. We love working at this table.

My desire is for you to be repaid for your kindness in many ways. May this great gift continue to reach the students in my class this year in those to come!!”

  • Printer Ink Please

    Funded Jan 9, 2024

Thank you for your kind donation. We have enjoyed using out new printer in our classroom. It is so convenient to be able to print write from our classroom and in color. It is also great to rest assured that when we run out of ink we have more.

Our school has a main printer we are able to use but sometimes it is not easy to access, especially when we are in the middle of a class.

We just had our Open House event. One of our favorite displays was an assignment in which the children wrote about their favorite part of themselves and took a photograph. We we were able to complete this assignment so quickly by printing from our own classroom printer.

    Thank you!”

  • STEM Enhancing Our Skill Through Coding

    Funded Oct 31, 2023

Thank you for funding our project! My 2nd graders have been having a good time practicing their coding skills. They have also been building their capacity in accepting that the process in learning is often more important than the end of results. When coding they discover that the first try doesn't always yield the desired result so sometimes they have to go back and make a change to their plan. Coding has been great in building a growth mindset approach.

We are very thankful for your support. I hope your kindness is returned in all the ways you need it.”

    Funded Jan 9, 2024

We have a working printer!! Yay! it is working out perfectly fro us because now we can print in color!! We have already printerd pricures our ourselves for our valentines crafts! Thank you so much! You donation will go a long way.

It hard to believe that something as simple as a color printer can make a hughe difference but it does. This particular printer we got saves on ink and produces great quality images. Another perk is that the ink is fairly inexpensive to replace.

I hope you are repaid for your kindness in all the ways that your need.”

  • STEM-Dash Robot! Let's Get Moving!

    Funded Oct 31, 2023

Thank you for making a project a reality! We are so thankful for your support. Our i-Pad arrived! And we are working hard to program DASH.

Today I allowed the students to explore with the Ipad and write code for DASH. The students are thrilled. I got to see them revise their thinking whe DASH didn't quite move the way they intended. What's even better is that they got to write code while building their perseverance skills without getting frustrated to the point of giving up. They were able to do this because the activities were fun and engaging. They had the desire to keep going. Thank you!”

I have the pleasure of looping with my students into 5th grade. This past year, I have worked very hard to assess student reading levels and to provide leveled books to all the students in order to continue to promote growth. All of my students have shown growth in reading and are reading close to grade level or at grade level. Some are even reading at a 6th grade level! I help the students track their growth and set reading goals. This holds them accountable to themselves and motivates them to continue reading. They look forward to our 40 minutes of daily reading time. During this time, they are given free choice in reading as long as they choose a book that is at their independent reading level. In order to continue promoting this love for reading, I need to include new books into my classroom library for the students to read and bins to use for storage. Please help us buy purchasing books for my students to read.
