Students will use these kits for several lessons during Unit 2. They will compare an electromagnet to a normal magnet (a common misconception) and see what a magnetic field looks like. The impact of a hands on kit will extend my students' understanding of electromagnetism beyond what a worksheet can do. Unfortunately, due to limited funding and the expense of these kits, I was unable to apply a hands on approach when teaching this topic this year. I am committed to changing this for my incoming 7th grade special education students in the 2017-2018 school year. Please help me fulfill my promise to helping students visualize science concepts and further develop their interest in the course by donating to my project!
