Our classrooms are equipped with three bulky computers that sometimes work and sometimes don't. Our class sizes are 28 plus students. This makes it hard to have a technology rotation for reading and math when our groups are so large. However, I believe in having technology in the classroom. Having these tablets allows students to have access to multiple reading and math applications. First graders tend not to be independent on the computer. When it comes time to their rotation they spend half of it logging in. With these tablets the applications are on there ready to go, so they now get more time learning.
