Good quality materials and supplies in an Art class is crucial. Students are there to have a wonderful life long experience that they can take with them forever. If a student's work is fading, crumbling or peeling after it dries then they won't care to take it home; it will end up in the trash, they will be no pride in their work. I am wanting students to take pride in their work and be able to express themselves through their Art. I want them to want to frame it, post it on social media, or even sell it. This is my first year teaching high school and I love what I do and I want that to transfer to my students as far down as to what they're holding in their hand to create with. I want to pass on a passion so that hopefully it becomes their passion.
