Thank you for considering funding my classroom project! My first-grade classroom incorporates themes of nature to instill a peaceful and inquiry-based environment. My morning meeting and mini-lesson carpet is "our pond," a place for social/emotional learning, community-building and learning. Who wouldn't want to meet at a pond every day? We have 2 pet crayfish, an explore table of nature artifacts, and plants throughout which are meant to support inquiry-based learning.
