Our school district simply does not have the money to provide new classroom furniture to our needy students within our school. Our elementary school is over 30 years old and most of the furniture is as old as the school. Research has proven students learn better through active engagement. Active engagement is most successful within cooperative learning table groups. Table groups or learning communities allow for students to foster their own learning potential. In order for students to reach their full potential, students need proper seating. Tables will allow for students to explore with hands-on science labs and analytic learning communities.
