Building Strong Readers

You all have helped create an environment of reading and a love for graphic novels in my classroom. My students are excited to read and have been checking books out of the library non stop. Thank you so much for helping create strong readers in my classroom. You are appreciated from the depths of my heart.

Students have been able to engage in our silent reading times during class with books of their choice. They can analyze texts with strategies like see-think-wonder where they break down text in ways they understand. They have completed reading log entries discussing how characters relate to themselves and they wouldn't have been able to engage with new texts without your help.”
