I teach 3 and 4 year olds in a Head Start. They come to me already behind in many areas of their gross and fine motor, academic, and cognitive developments. The materials requested will expand their experiences in building, counting, 1-1 correspondence, sorting, classifying, and so much more.
By using these manipulatives during whole group, small group, and independently; my students will begin to build their number awareness which is a critical foundation for mathematics. Your generous donation helps my students to fill the gap and enter school on par with their peers. It also helps to enrich their lives by giving them a positive first experience with school concepts.
