With a partition in my classroom, my students will have the peace of mind knowing that they can have privacy. This way, they don't have to feel embarrassed for taking a break before having a breakdown. Many of my students refuse to go to the calming corner because they don't want anyone looking at them. A partition will allow them the freedom to go have a time away within the classroom, but feel like they have their own space. I will feel more confident offering the calming corner as an option for deescalation. I am sure this will help alleviate many behavior issues immediately.
