  • Classroom Rug to Help Build a Classroom Family

  • iPads To Access a World of Learning!

    Thank you for your generous donation to my class! The money donated helped buy TWO iPads for my students! I surprised the children with the package and wrapped it up so we could unwrap it together. They were so excited! These iPads have already been put to good use helping my students improve their reading and math skills. Their favorite "games" to play are Happy Numbers which goes along with our math modules to practice important skills and concepts, MyOn a reading program filled with high-interest e-books based on their Lexile levels and Sight Word Ninja to practice their sight words.

    These new iPads will provide ENDLESS learning opportunities. Thank you again for your support and for making learning fun and engaging for my current students as well as my future classes.”

The iPad will help us to share our work in school with students' families. Many of our students' parents are working all day. It is tough for kids to share what they are working on in school when they get home, because parents are working on keeping the home in order and also working in the evenings. Being able to send a picture of the students with their work to a family member's cell phone, or through Schoology (one of our online resources), will increase family involvement and bridge the communication gap between school and home! These photos will be shared instantly with parents so they can see what their child is working on in school. Photos will be shared on a twice weekly basis with families. Parents will be thrilled to experience this new, engaging way to stay connected to what their children are doing in school!
