  • Fun Without technology

    Who would have thought the students would have so much fun without using technology!? We knew! Most of us grew up without having technology at our fingertips and we loved it! Kids need to be reminded that we do not always need to have technology to have fun!

    The students were so excited when they saw we got a box! I told them it was for them and they were thrilled! They could not wait to finish their work and put their computers away to play! I had one student finish his math so fast (and correctly) so he could take one of the new puzzles and finish it before the end of the day!

    My students are already wanting to play the games and do the puzzles this year! They have not asked for computers once! We love computers and the capabilities they have but it is so fun to unplug! Thank you for gifting my class with the opportunity to unplug.”

These materials will open a world of music and movement to the students. It will give an opportunity for them to love and appreciate everything that goes into the music they hear today. These materials will help open a world of sound to the students. The students will be able to perform and learn ethnic rhythms. These resources will benefit our students in positive ways and hopefully be the beginning stages of a passion in music and or movement. I hope to develop a curriculum within my classroom to learn music and movement as well as be recognized and appreciated. Our school does not have funding for electives in elementary school. Our district is limited in teachers with the abilities to teach music or a music program for elementary. With all these musical instruments and resources, I intend to make music a part of the curriculum. My intention is to teach students the beauty in music and movement.

About my class
