I embarked on flexible seating this year in my 1st grade classroom. I chose yoga balls as one seating option because they were relatively inexpensive. It is one of the the most popular seating choices for my 1st graders! However, they are not as durable as I had hoped. The wobble stools will withstand 1st graders for many years to come. With flexible seating there has been an increase in academic performance in my classroom. Students are more engaged participating in discussions and activities.
