Our school is extremely excited to be implementing a new reading program within our classroom called, Reader's Workshop for the upcoming school year. Our classroom is filled with students of varying levels. Reader's Workshop allows students of all levels to succeed within the classroom, because it allows students to learn the same skill while applying it to their own book based on their individual reading levels. A new classroom carpet would help enhance the new reading program. In order for the program to be successful we need a cozy space for students to gather for mini lessons, listen to read alouds, as well as provide a space for students to sit and be comfortable while reading their on level independent books. Students truly enjoy getting out of their seats and moving to a new spot within the classroom. We often find that students work harder on the assignments when they can move out of their desks. With your help I can transform our reading space into our classroom's most inviting spot by providing a comfortable space for students to learn. This space will be a place students will be begging to go to in order to read!
