Please Help Me Teach My Students How to Read!
Funded Sep 14, 2021Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom. The students are having a blast reading the decodables during reading time. They are progressing so nicely in their reading abilities. These books really allow me to strategically give my students the appropriate books based on their needs. The journal notebooks have been a hit. Students enjoy drawing pictures and writing about them. Some of my students aren't able to write sentences yet, so the picture space is so important for them to feel like they are also doing the important work of drawing and beginning to label. Wishing you a great holiday season!”

Funded Aug 13, 2020I want to take this time to say thank you for your generosity. This year hasn't been easy at all, but you have helped make it easier. My students are learning completely remotely for the entire year. At the beginning of the year with your help, I was fortunate enough to be able to provide them with the following resources that were purchased due to your help: Primary composition journals, dry erase markers and I pad pillows. I am also able to use the easel at home so that the students can see what I am presenting easier. Some students, only had that one notebook to write in because their parents were not able to provide more. We use these journals everyday during writing time. They love that these particular notebooks have space to draw as well. The I pad pillows were super helpful so they could position the I pad correctly while learning. The dry erase markers were a hit. Something fun we use everyday to practice math and writing skills. My students were so excited to use all of these supplies and look forward to using them every single day.”

Funded May 6, 2012I would like to thank all of you for your generosity. My students truly enjoyed reviewing and learning mathematical skills and concepts using these wonderful games. The games served many proposes. First of all, they were a great way for my students to learn how to take turns and socialize with their peers. Second, they had to learn how to read directions to figure out how to play the games. They helped each other and were so excited to "play". Throughout the last two months of school we reviews all that we learned throughout the year. This was a great tool for me to assess their mathematical knowledge. I am so excited to share these games next year with my new second grade class. Thanks again form the bottom of my heart! ”

Please Help Us Learn Our 3-Dimensional Shapes.
Funded Dec 30, 2010I would like to take the time to thank you for all that you have done for my children. At It was very hard for them to understand the concept of three dimensional shapes. I had some shapes in the class but not enough for all of my students to experiment with and not all the shapes were there. I tried to use my smartboar to explain the concept but it was still not clear. I received the shipment of these supplies and started to implement them into my lessons. The children were so excited!!! They thought that they were playing but I knew that they were also learning and internalizing the concept of three dimensional shapes. I am a firm believer that children learn best through hands on materials and through play. Thank you so much for supporting me in my beliefs and making them a reality.”

Funded Dec 27, 2010I would like to thank all of you for all of your amazing contributions. My students LOVE coming to school every morning to check if blueberry and strawberry are o.k. We voted to name the two beta fish those two names because of their colors. Each week we have a fish feeder that feeds the fish all wee. The students that are chosen know that they must have complete homework and be on their best behavior the previous week before jobs are given. This REALLY works!!! Students who have no pets at home consider these fish as their personal pets. During an assignemt, one of my students did not want to write to anyone (we were practicing writing a friendly letter) finally he said that he will only write to blueberry. You can read the letter looking at the pictures that I posted. Thanks again for everything!!! ”

Learning how to count has become their favorite thing to do!! I also want you to know that the number line that you have purchased has made a huge difference in their understanding of the concept. They are able to count up and down using the number line as an important tool. I think that teaching math through visuals and games is crucial!! Children who are motivated to learn show progress!!! Building Lifelong Readers!!!
Funded Sep 1, 2010Thank you so much for your contribution!!! My students love using the weekly readers and the Time magazines. They are so excited to get new ones every week. They also love to read the big poster that comes with each issue. They are learning so many interesting facts about animals, plants, fire safety and much more from these readers. No Wasting Time Here!
Funded Apr 25, 2010I would like to thank you for your great generosity. My students were elated to receive the magic boards. The minute they saw them, they could not wait to use them. All of a sudden they were begging to do word work, knowing they will be using the magic boards. I was happy to see that all of my children were on task and ready to listen to instructions. I noticed improvement in kids that did not pay attention before I introduced this wonderful tool. During exploration time, my students were excited to show me their sentences and how they improved on their handwriting. I believe that learning through fun and creative ways is the best way and you helped me by providing the right tools. Thanks again and I hope you like the letters and the pictures.”

Help Me Create Lifelong Readers and Writers!!
Funded Dec 10, 2009I am so thankful for all of the wonderful resources that you have purchased for my students. They really enjoy learning how to write using the centers. They use the Let's Talk boxes whenever they finish with their work and they truly love them!!! Those boxes are a great way to enhance their phonics skills as well as their vocabulary skills. They do not see it as learning but as something they do for fun. The privacy partitions help my students take tests and they also help with focusing and completing work without distractions. The morning message chart is their favorite. They love learning a new word every day!! You have truly made such a difference by providing the necessary tools for my students to learn as well as to have fun. Thank you again and I hope that you like our pictures. ”
