  • Preschoolers Building Creations Larger Than Them!

    Funded May 30, 2018

Thank you so much to the donors who contributed to my classroom project. Through your generous donations, my classroom was able to receive Panelcraft magnetic building materials to promote STEAM learning.

The children have been actively engaged in building amazing structures that are larger than them. The materials have inspired creativity and cooperation in the children while developing their spatial skills. It has been awesome to hear the detailed conservations the children are having when they explain the rockets, skyscrapers, and pirate ships they have built. The children love to get inside of their creations and then build it bigger around themselves. It is by far the favorite materials that the children use every day.

Thank you so much for making a difference in the lives of my children. They will have endless opportunities to develop STEAM skills by using these valuable building materials.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Dunten

  • “Play is the Beginning of Knowledge.” -George Dorsey

    Funded May 9, 2017

Thank you so much for the generous donation of learning materials for my classroom. The hands-on materials have enabled my students to expand their cognitive skills while they are creating, constructing, discovering and actively moving in their environment.

The children are currently using the materials outside in our play yard. As the weather changes we will look forward to bringing these adaptable materials inside to continue active play and learning. The items have helped the children to; expand language skills, develop concepts in math, promote physical development, enable creativity and build social emotional skills.

Thank you again for enhancing the development and learning for my students. They will continue to benefit from the experience of using these valuable early childhood materials this year and beyond.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Dunten

The house area in our classroom is one of the most popular areas and is a great area to observe the children grow and learn. By having a kitchen outside on the playground this will bring a whole new world of pretending to my children. Being outside in the fresh air and beautiful scenery will inspire their work, because after all children’s play is their work and they work hard. There are so many awesome things children learn through pretending such as social skills, language skills, math, science and problem solving skills. Take a moment and think about the math and language skills that happen in your own kitchen: the recipes, the conversations, measuring, accounting for guests and or visitors, not to mention the power of their imaginations growing. There have been so many times my children pretend that the wood chips are food or they pretend to serve ice cream and ask for plates, cups, or other household items. Why not bring the kitchen outside? Having a kitchen available outside will open so many new and exciting opportunities for children to grow and learn.
