  • Wibble Wobble

    Funded Jan 23, 2022

Saying thank you seems to be not enough in the joy you have given my students with your generous donation for the quibble chairs.

The wobble chairs were added to my STEAM room and placed on the carpet for read alouds. Upon entering the room my students now race forward to get to the 'cool' chairs first! Some students even move the seating to other areas to utilize.

I have seen a noticeable difference if some students core strength and retaining attention in others as they have to concentrate to not wobble while I'm reading a book.

Again, thank you for your donation. My serpents and I greatly appreciate your gift!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stanley

  • Operation Preschool

    Funded Sep 1, 2021

Thank you again for your generous donation to my classroom.

When my students entered my classroom they were greeted with color!!! Some exclaimed that it looked like a rainbow! The vibrant colors of the curtains covered shelves of manipulatives behind and not currently being used at that time. The ambience assured my students is a calming yet beautiful area they wanted to enter daily

The ipad chargers is a game changer. No more looking for the plug ins on the icharging towee. The ease and practicality made daily ipad living essential.

When some of my littlest learners enter my classroom with little or no experience with fine motor skills the therapy putty and scissors are now beginning to show a difference in their writing and cutting skills

Thank you again for your generosity”

    Mrs. Stanley

  • Gross Motor is Fun!

    Funded Apr 12, 2021

With spring making its way through the Midwest several different weather types can be seen in just one day! Fortunately, we have several rooms for gross motor.

With your generosity our students can use the materials you help provided to give them the gross motor exercise they critically need!

Many of our students have BMI's over 30! Engagement of thirty minutes (1/2 day) to an hour (all day) gross motor exercise is the opportunity given to all our students. Empty classrooms are used for inclement weather days.

Materials that you provided have given our students a plethora of activities now that they thoroughly enjoy! They are having a lot of fun without even knowing it!

    Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stanley

  • Coping Skills

    Funded Apr 12, 2021

With preschoolers one might think that getting by or 'they will deal with it' is the logical solution to COVID and their home life. Not necessarily so. These youngest of learners also need a way to cope with their anxiety of what they see around them.

With your generosity you have made it possible for my students to learn how to purposefully engage in processes in helping strategies.

Fidgets, weighted stuffed animals and calming bottles have shown a reduction in behavior of some of my students. Many of my students, when agitated, will automatically go to the safe spot and acclimate to their surroundings before entering play. Self initiation to this extreme is a higher level skill that is made possible with your donation.

    Thanks again for your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stanley

  • Bringing Gross Motor Back!

    Funded Dec 31, 2020

Thank you so much for your donation. Because of your generosity my students are given the opportunity to exert energy, gain exercise and have fun in a gross motor/ tumbling room.

As the weather is cooler finding opportunities for gross motor is almost impossible. However, with the materials you provided my children are enjoying gross motor and having fun.

The wedge could unfortunately not be ordered but my students still enjoy tumbling on the mats and building with the large building blocks *substitute.

    Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stanley

  • Major Motion

    Funded Dec 8, 2020

What fun my students have been having at gross motor time because of the materials you have helped to provide!!!!

Daily, students have choices of the materials (balls, scarves, ribbons, hula hoops, balls, balance cups, etc...). Depending on which room our classroom is using they have a variety of choices!

My students can exercise while having fun yet not know that it is healthy. Your generosity is keeping the littlest of learners healthy and ready to learn.

In turn, my students are getting required amount of gross motor time and taking home ideas of what they can do instead of sitting and/or playing video games or watching tv.

Again, thank you for your generosity.”

  • Yoga and Vehicles?

    Funded Dec 28, 2020

Yoga has been known to reduce stress, increases balance and helps with flexibility. With my preschoolers yoga has been a lifesaver, for my preschoolers it is FUN!

My students love using the yoga mats and cds at gross motor time and often ask to use them.

It is surprising to see my littlest of students bend, flex and enact all the correct poses of yoga. I have seen them replicate the movements with ease.

With your generosity my students are using the materials at one of their gross motor times and it is reassuring that supplies are available .

    Thank you again!!!”

  • STEM Begins in Early Education

    Funded Sep 2, 2020

Oh my goodness! My students were so excited to see new toys upon entering my classroom! Almost instantly they were discussing amongst themselves which ones they wanted to work with and how they were going to utilize them!

The most sought after of the group of manipulatives that were donated were the tool set with accompanying screws bolts and pegs, followed closely by the straw tubes and connectors. I constantly find interesting conversation when the students are working together. Team work is awesome and makes my heart happy when I see what my students can accomplish with available materials!

If you give children STEM materials then they will find a way to learn and make it fun in the process.

Thanks again for your generous donation!”

  • Reading From Home

    Funded Sep 16, 2020

OH MY GOODNESS. Almost instantly when my students entered the classroom, they noticed the "new toys. " they were so excited and could hardly wait till work/ center time to utilize the manipulatives.

The most liked items are the drill kit with the bolts that add to the pictures, followed closely by the straw tube with connectors.

It is amazing to see how creative my 4 to 5 year old can be when given adequate materials. Seeing their little minds at work brings joy to my heart. Laughter is heard frequently, along with conversation of hows, what ifs and let's try this discussions amongst the students when working with the materials.

Thank you so much for your generosity. My students will continuously use the materials to enhance their learning while having fun.”

  • E-Learning, Okay!

    Funded May 7, 2020

Thanks to your generosity in the time of unknown for learning my students were given the opportunity to learn in the comfort of their homes.

Students were given workbooks from you, along with stampers, dry erase markers and pattern blocks from myself to help keep them engaged during these months of shelter in place along with summer break.

My students will work on much needed early literacy and math shills to keep them focused upon return to the classroom in the fall. With the provided manipulatives they will have fun!!!

Thank you again for the donatuons!!!!!”

These backpacks will allow children and parents to experience quality literature while strengthening children's school readiness skills in the areas of math, literacy and science. Children will develop a love for reading and learning that will accompany them throughout life! Parent engagement in a child's learning is the key. By allowing the children to take the materials home, parents and children can work together on key skills when it fits into "family time". Having these literacy backpacks filled with hands on, active learning activities that are linked to quality literature will allow for successful experiences that can be shared with the whole class upon return.
