Students will use the materials in this project to create their own original children’s books as part of the culmination of a unit examining children’s literature. They will work in small groups to draft, edit, revise, and publish their works. Students are responsible for creating original content, including illustrations or photos. Within their groups, students will need to choose a role which complements their strengths (such as editor or illustrator). Students will be able to improve their literacy and English language skills as a result of this project because they will be required to read, write, think critically and work as part of a team.
