My Students Are Striving For Independence!
Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you so much for this awesome project! The organization bins helped students work independently by providing a kid friendly piece of furniture for students to access their work! The bins are used to house different learning activities for students with Autism. From simple sorting to higher level math activities, each of the boxes contain developmental appropriate activities. The best part is the students can access these independently- which we strive for in the Autistic Support classroom!
Thank you so much for the support!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Bill Gates and 16 other donors.Mental Health Matters !
Funded Nov 7, 2024Thank you so much for the Mental Health Matters materials! With your generous donation, I was able to:
1. Decorate my office space with powerful Mental Health messages. This creates a warm, inviting space where students know it is ok to talk about your feelings and emotions!
2. Share positive message stickers with students! The stickers were placed on bulletin boards in plastic sleeves and in the cafeteria. If students were in need of a positive message, they. could grab one!
3. Distribute calming strips for students lap tops and back of phones. These were in high demand! Students enjoy having something tangible to remind them to breath.
4. Provide our in house mental health team with "Therapy is Cool!" stickers. Students are often bashful to receive mental health therapy in school- but these stickers can convey the message that therapy is cool!
Thank you for this awesome funding - it really helped me spread the Mental Health Matters message across my school!”

This classroom project was brought to life by .Stepping Stone project for Earth Day Tree Planting!
Funded May 5, 2017Thank you so much for contributing to my Donor's Choose Project! With this project we were able to purchase stepping stones to commemorate the tree planting in Spring 2017. The students were excited to see all of the fun materials including different mosaics and colored stones!
Most of the stepping stones were able to be completed before the end of the school year and others will be completed during the year in art class. They were a little bit harder than we thought to create (especially with little kindergarten hands!) but we managed to make a few.
This was a great culminating activity to celebrate our new trees for outside of our school. We look forward to students walking by for years to come and remembering the experience of planting the trees!
Thank you so much for your support and kindness to fun this creative project!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Butler
