  • Help Our Hispanic Students by Donating Sweatshirts for Cold Weather

    Funded Sep 8, 2024

My students have been enjoying their sweatshirts! They have been so excited from the day they opened the shipping boxes. The girls helped design their sweatshirts and another teacher helped me cut and press the vinyl on them. We got them done and they have been wearing them nonstop.

They wear them proudly around school. When I first created this project, I was concerned about them not being cold on game days, but these sweathirts have meant more for them than just a warm piece of clothing. They represent their team, a group of hardworking athletes.

Our first game was November 21st. They have been working so hard at practice for weeks and this moment finally came. Most of the girls have never been part of soccer team before and watching them wear their uniform sweatshirts with such honor made my day as a coach. We still have many games to play and lots of fun times together growing as a team. I am so thankful your donation has helped the girls stay warm and feel proud of our team”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Campoblanco

  • Donate White Socks to Our Hispanic Students- Girl's Soccer Program

    Funded Sep 5, 2024

Our first game was November 21st. The girls finally got to open up the new socks. It was an away game so the uniform had to be all white. The socks looked perfect with the white jerseys. Wearing the uniform for the first time and having everyone match was such a special feeling for them. They have been working so hard at practice for weeks and this moment finally came. Most of the girls have never been part of soccer team before and watching them wear their uniform so proudly made my day as a coach. We still have many games to play and lots of fun times together growing as a team. I am so thankful your donation has helped the girls look and feel great on the field.”

  • Technology In La Clase De Español

    Funded Nov 10, 2017

Thanks to your generosity my students are now able to watch videos and hear everything clearly. It has made such a huge difference in our classroom; for them and for me. I can now play all the clips and videos that came in our book's DVD set.

The most exciting part about our project was getting new things and opening the boxes! the kids were hyped about unpacking the items and helping me install everything.

My most excited student was Savion. He knows I struggle with technology so he was very eager to show off and help me get the items set up and working properly.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Campoblanco

My students are visual and audio learners. We watch a great amount of videos in class. Anything from short grammar clips, telehistorias, documentaries, educational movies, and more. We also listen to Spanish music almost every day. Now days teenagers are very technology-oriented. In order to be able to to get them interested and engaged, us teachers have to come up with a wide variety of activities that will get them excited about learning, and without the help of technology, it becomes slightly difficult. This upgrade will make such a big difference to their everyday learning experience. It will continue making Spanish class fun and interesting.
