  • All Our Stuff in One Place!

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

We can not thank you enough for all of the wonderful donations. We have used everything that was ordered to make things run smoother in our classroom. We were able to unpack bins and boxes of toys and manipulatives and place them into the new clear bins to put on our shelves. Having these new storage containers have made it easier for the children to see what is there and what they would like to use for different activities and during play time.

The kids were very excited to get the new containers and to help us get everything into them. We have all of the storage all over the room housing things from stickers for our Sticker Store to legos that we use during center time. We'd like to thank you all again for your support to our classroom this school year, be well.”

  • Getting Through the Day With Play!

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

Thank you so much for your support and donations for our project. The students were thrilled to receive all of the new games and toys for our centers.

Throughout the school day we work hard in all subject areas and in order to keep the children motivated we give them breaks to learn and play and explore. By having these new games and educational toys the children love to work hard and get time to play.

Each box that was opened in front of the students brought sheer excitement to them. It was with your help and donations that we were able to make our centers more desirable for the students in our class.”

  • Made a Mistake? Wipe It Off and Start Again!

    Funded Jan 25, 2024

Thank you all for your generosity. The students and I were thrilled to receive the new wipe off boards and markers to use during small group activities and as a whole class. The boards that we had were old and stained and with the new ones it is easy to see their work. We have had fun using the wipe off dots as well. With all of your help and support you have made learning a much easier and wonderful experience.

The glue is used often for classroom projects and just having fun with arts and crafts. Thank you again for your help and support.”

  • Our Classroom Work, Frozen in Time!

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

I would first like to start out by saying how much we thank you for donating to our classroom project. The students and teachers work so hard during the school day and having your support really helps. We are grateful for the donation of the laminating machine so that we can cover our work and make it last.

We have been able to print graphic organizers and posters for the children to refer to while they are working hard in the classroom. By laminating the papers it makes it easy to keep things hung up for the children to see.

Also, we have used the machine to cover the children's work so it doesn't get ruined.”

  • Reading and Fun For Everyone!

    Funded Aug 31, 2023

I'd like to take this opportunity to give you a heartfelt thank you for all of the donations.

We received many different books and educational games to help foster great learning for our students. Along with the books we received a class set of clip boards which helps the children with activities as they walk around the room and do work.

Our classroom library has been bustling with new and exciting books. We've added new genres with baskets into the library and we're using them to learn about theme of books and author's purpose. The kids are always so excited to get new books in the room.”

  • A BOX FULL OF SMILES AND JOY!

    Funded Dec 30, 2020

Hello, my name is Kelly Aguilar and I have been an educator in the New York City Public Schools for twenty years. This year is by far the most different and challenging in all of my career. The children in my class ( virtual / full remote kindergarten class ) love to do art projects. On Fridays we do Fun Friday Art Projects where I put up a guided video or we do it step by step on zoom. The children love to draw, color, cut, and paste things during these sessions. With all of the supplies that I was able to purchase, the kids have had an amazing time doing art.

The art supplies were sent to the school and a colleague of mine brought them home to me so I could put everything together and put them into bags for the children. My own children helped me organize and split everything up to put into the bags to send back in to the school so that the families could come and pick them up. There has been a lot of transporting and packet pick ups this year. Like I said, it is very different from years past. I had asked the parents to send me pictures of the children when they opened up the bags. They were so excited and couldn't wait to make amazing things with what you had given them. We did a fun project for Chinese New year and Valentine's Day. We also made leprechauns for St. Patrick's Day and did a beautiful Spring picture for the families for the holidays that just passed. My kids love to take out their drawing pads and use the markers and colored pencils to create beautiful art work. I look forward to continuing on in making beautiful art with my students thanks to your generosity. Again, I want to thank you for your support and donation in making all of my students smile.”

  • Click ... How Quickly We Grow.

    Funded Jan 6, 2010

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your donations and well wishes for my class. The students enjoy having the camera in the classroom. Now we can record things that we do in the class on a daily basis. We have used the camera during all of our field trips and the students love to look at the photos when I have them printed out.

Having a digital camera in the classroom to record things that are happening with the children has been a benefit to the students. We used the camera to take pictures of our butterflies as they went through the stages of life, and our chicks when they started out as eggs. Having the camera makes it easy for the students to remember things that we have done, and helps those students who might struggle to remember certain things that happen during lessons.

Again I would like to thank you all for everything you have done to help the students in my class become better learners. With your help this year, you will make life easier for the young children that will be coming in to school in September. ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Aguilar
