  • Classroom Supplies: Level 2.0

    Funded Jun 21, 2024

My students now have educational toys and puzzles that they use daily as part of their free choice time and as rewards.

The kinex pieces encourage so much creativity and my students were able to make several objects, ranging from flowers and wands to cars and houses. They would afterwards have some sort of dialogue or play using their creations and it is just a delight to see them socializing and thinking about how they can make stories out of these pieces.

The wooden puzzles are incredibly helpful for my learners with more needs as they teach basic concepts on shapes and colors. It helps them sort out the pieces into groups and this is a really important skill to have as you begin learning, especially for my students who are differently abled.

The iPad is a wonderful source of educational videos and music for my students with autism as music is something that universally calms them down. It has helped me motivate my students do their best in various activities, knowing that they can have this as their reward.

Thank you so much for giving my students these new learning opportunities!”

    Ms. Kit

  • Just Chillin'

    Funded Oct 8, 2024

The heat has been giving us a rough time but I am hopeful that the AC will help us get through our warmer days. Thank you so much for helping us get to our target amount. This means so much to me, my staff and our dearest students. Have a great rest of the year!”

  • Let's Taco 'Bout Life Skills

    Funded Feb 19, 2024

My classroom focuses a lot on life skills and this grant has allowed my students to practice their baking and food prep skills in the classroom. It has absolutely increased their motivation to participate in food prep activities that we do weekly.

I'm so proud to say that my students who do not normally volunteer to get up and help with cooking have stepped out of their comfort zones and helped me bake some goodies this school year.

My paraprofessionals were so hyped to unwrap the bake ware and the shredder for the class. It felt like Christmas day, thanks to your support!”

  • Strong Kids, Strong Finish

    Funded Mar 23, 2023

Thank you so much for allowing my students and I to have materials from TPT and art materials. We have made some nice art projects and completed even science experiments successfully because of your provisions!

My students were so excited to open up the class pack of color pencils and markers and they could not wait to use them right away. The TPT gift card has allowed me to look for meaningful activities for them and make sure that they are kept busy and working hard during the school year.

The TPT gift card allowed me to find a nice Thanksgiving art project that had my students create their very own turkeys. It became great conversation pieces among them, and this would not be possible without YOU.”

  • Success Starter Pack

    Funded Aug 25, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting our classroom. My students are now really comfortable having some downtime in the day by relaxing in their much needed calm down corner.

The office supplies that this grant allowed us to have made sure that we have an organized classroom and having such has allowed my students to become more efficient in completing their day to day tasks. They were really excited and smiles were contagious as we unwrapped everything that was given to us, thanks to your help! We are so grateful and we are absolutely looking forward to more support throughout the years from you.”

  • Calm Down Corner, Check!

    Funded Sep 6, 2023

My students are now able to use a calm down corner when they feel upset or even when they just need to take a quick break. We have "Free Time" allotted during the day after they are done working and one of them asked if they could use their computer while sitting on the beanbags-- to which I replied "of course, you are the reason I got them!"

It has become a socializing corner also where they could just sit on the ground and hang out with their peers. Their eyes lit up when they saw the beanbags and the bright colored rug. It was so welcoming, that they had to try them out as soon as they could.

I plan to keep using this corner as their chill out corner, where they can unwind and even rest their eyes after an overwhelming day or even be their happy place and sit down with their classmates.”

  • Ready, Set, Go!

    Funded Aug 25, 2021

My students have been benefitting a lot from the new equipment you helped us get for our first year back from distance learning. They were incredibly pleased with the couch, and I have had to print out PECs for the couch as a lot of my guys choose it as their break time activity.

The room dividers helped them focus more on lessons and avoid looking at their "best friends," which have supported more positive classroom behavior. The coat and backpack hanger decreased floor traffic, especially when my student who is in a wheelchair transitions from one activity to the next.

You have supported my class so incredibly! We have a safe and comfortable classroom, thanks to your generous hearts. We are so lucky to have you.”

  • Free From the Classroom Walls

    Funded Jan 17, 2020

I am now able to work with a powerful device, thanks to your generosity! Creating virtual materials and making resources available all for my students proved to be a not-so intimidating task with the help of my new MacBook Air. This project was originally supposed to be a field trip, but due to the current shelter in place procedure followed by most schools in the country, I am left to interact with my students using only a device. Once again, I sincerely appreciate your support to me and my students. Have a great year ahead!”

  • Fun in Learning Remotely

    Funded Jun 11, 2020

I would like to warmly thank you all for being so generous towards me and my group of wonderful students. It was raining the day most of the parents decided to pick up the materials from school but the smiles on my students faces made everything worth it. My students now can participate fully in art activities that we try to do once a week. They take pride on their work and it is always a priceless moment when I see them showing excitement in participating. They are the happiest, and you are responsible for this! Thank you and happy holidays!”
