Comfort Is the Key to Learning
Funded Dec 8, 2024On behalf of our students and staff, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donation to support flexible seating in our classroom. Your contribution has had a profound impact, allowing us to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment where students can choose seating that best suits their learning style. Flexible seating has empowered students to take ownership of their learning, collaborate more effectively, and stay focused and comfortable throughout the day. Thanks to your support, we are able to foster creativity, enhance engagement, and provide a space where all students can thrive. Your generosity is truly making a difference in their educational journey.
As soon as my students saw the variety of flexible seating they had a sense of feeling special and had a realization about community. Community means both giving to your local community and allowing your community to help you grow. Your generosity is truly making a difference in their educational journey.
Thank you to Everlyn White, Erin Bubla, Praveen Vasudev, and Sarah Dwyer for making our project reach funding! These materials will not only be used by students this year, it will be beneficial to students in years to come. School should be a positive environment where all students feel safe, happy, and heard. With these materials you have allowed for my students to enjoy their day to day learning!”

Funded Dec 29, 2023It was with great excitement that we started 2023 with our beautiful new materials. We had clipboards, beautiful storage, and beautiful new writing utensils. What a perfect time of year! They were in shock with the neatness and sleek design of the new clipboard.
It may seem small to have a new clipboard or a new pencil. However, a wise person once said: Everyone enjoyed being thought of. My class felt honored that people across America took the time out to read our project and chose to donate to them.
Lastly, a wise person once said "Being organized isn't about getting rid of everything you own or trying to become a different person, it is about living the way you want to live but better... ". You have allowed my class to do this, along with future classes. We are organized for all types of lessons and engaged in our learning. Thank you for our useful tools which allowed us to grow in many forms: writers, mathematicians, scientists, critical thinkers, and empathetic learners. We will be finishing the year off completing a novel study! Our clipboard wills keep our materials nice and organized.”

Funded Jan 6, 2023Myself and my students have used the fabulous resources to improve our writing center. The class just wrote historical narratives. We used our larger bins for our research-based books and the smaller trays for our different types of planning pages. Additionally, we organized our materials in our caddies. We not only used them at the writing center, we also used them in our groups. It was fun using the stickers to decorate our writing pieces. We also used the border to display our student work on our bulletin board.
Immediately, when the students saw the materials their jaw dropped. There were tons of "oooohhsss and aaaahhhhss." Most importantly, as we started our unit and continued into our writing process that students felts very motivated. You can tell that the organized new materials that are so vibrant made them feel so special. Your generosity.
We will continue to use these amazing materials which have made possible with your generosity to write our opinion pieces. To end the year off we will be doing lots of reflection pieces and writing pieces targeted to our future in middle school !”

Funded Aug 13, 2021Thank you so much for providing my students with an awesome library and organized classroom. The materials donated allowed my students to come back into their classroom after remote learning with a sense of organization and normalcy. After such a tough year of remote learning during the 2020-2021 school year it was nice to see my students so excited to be back and ready to learn in the classroom. They were able to easily access their materials. Students were able to do so in a safe way because each student was able to have their items in a separate place! The bright colors created an inviting learning environment which students also appreciated. Thank you so much for your generosity. It is truly appreciated.”

Funded Dec 3, 2018Class 428 is using our new flexible seating materials to have a fun, comfortable, and welcoming classroom environment. Giving my students the empowerment of choice is impacting their learning daily. Now they have the choice of how to sit and where to sit. Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where they work and with whom. It also allows them to change their location and positions as needed. This allows us to move around the classroom and stay engaged! Children need to move. Flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. Your donations have given us that. We are using our new bins and government books for our unit now where we learn about the three branches of government. You are helping to keep us organized!
When my students first saw their new materials they felt so appreciative! They kept asking who gave them these vibrant, brand new materials. They really learned what is means to give back to the community. They were so happy that a local business supported them in their learning.
We are currently using our beautiful new materials and learning to respect them and take wonderful care of them. We appreciate you so much and we want you to know that our learning is being impacted every single day.”
