As we all know, one size doesn't fit all, just like every student doesn't learn the same way. To help my scholars achieve their greatness, I am asking for simple, yet costly supplies. They use bigger pencils and markers to help feel the formation of letters, along with using sand and shaving cream to feel how a letter is formed. Learning how to read can be difficult and my job as a reading teacher is to make it easy and fun for them. Using dry erase lapboards and dry erase markers, I can model how words are spelled, quickly erase them and have them try it on their own. Having a heavy duty pencil sharpener that has options to sharpen regular size pencils and thicker pencils, we will always have sharpened pencils on demand ready to write sentences we create together. Using colorful and cute tools will get them into the learning process and make things a bit more fun!
