The Wellness Center is a safe, confidential place where all students can get support both physically and mentally. Each school year, we serve over 750 students through individual counseling, support groups, mentor ship, leadership groups, classroom lessons, health appointments, etc. We have been operating out of a very small space for the last 14 years, however, a generous City Supervisor recently donated money for a new space. In this new space, we will have the opportunity to serve even more students in a comprehensive way. The new space, however, does not have any furniture. We are looking for donations to fund furniture for our common student space. This space is used for students who may not feel well and need some time to de-stress or drink some tea to get back to class prepared to tackle their academics.
