I would like to thank you for your donations. The language translators are extremely helpful for my ML students and their families. We just used them for parent teacher conferences and they were a great help. I was able to have a conversation with the parents and they were able to express their concerns and understanding.
We use the translators for many different things in our classroom. One of the things that we use them for is for vocabulary. Students are able to learn the vocabulary both in their own language and in English. This helps them to learn the meaning of the word and connect to it.
These translators will continue helping my students and families as we continue to use them as a source of communication.
Again, we are very grateful to the donors.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Edie
This classroom project was brought to life by Bezos Family Foundation and 6 other donors.
Students will have the opportunity to work with the iPads both independently and in small groups. They will use these iPads to access both math and literacy programs that are created to target different reading and math skills development. These programs are tailored to match each individual student's specific need and level.
Student's will have the opportunity to access these programs during independent, small group learning, such as math centers, daily 5, Independent reading, and math and reading interventions.
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in reading and math.
By implementing the use of technology during these times, my students will begin to develop a higher level, deeper understanding about 1st grade math and reading. We will use these materials to aid us in the process of becoming life-long learners. As a teacher, I have done extensive research on the effects of online reading programs and believe in the benefits of having them.
