• The Science of Reading

Active learning is a key part in our kindergarten daily routine and the items you have helped purchase will help my students play as they learn! • Wiggle while we work!

  Thank you so much for generous donation to help my students get their wiggles out while they work. Getting back to school life has been hard for so many students who had to stay home last year or this year being the first time ever away from their family. Thanks to your kindness my class can pick a seat that fits their body the best and they feel the most comfortable in to work throughout the day. Everyday they enjoy working at their table spots and it brings a giant smile to their face as they bounce and twist while staying on task. Thank you so much!”

• Kindergarten Can Virtually Learn Anywhere!

  Thank you so much for kicking off this school year with some fun materials in the hands of 80 kindergarteners!

  I wish you would have been with me as I visited each student with their supplies! Their faces beamed with excitement and the fact that we can't be together in a building seemed to fade away as they asked questions on how we would be using the white boards, unifix cubes, etc. We are 12 days in and the donation you made has helped us with writing our numbers as well as letters. We have been able to play games across google meet sessions and bring some tangible experiences while learning online. Thank you so much for your generosity and support!”

• See It, Feel It, and Learn Through Play!

  Thank you so much for your support! My students are truly in love with the items you helped add to our classroom! We had a chance to use the paint sticks to fill our hallways with art work! The paint sticks are such a fun way to bring art in to our daily work time and also makes clean up a breeze!   Thank you so much for your kindness! My students are loving all the new guided reading supplies! The class is truly enjoying all the different ways they can show off their learning. I wish you could see their faces light up when I bring out the hold up white boards! They LOVE to write their sight words and show what they know to the group. The class has jumped into reading this year because of you! The students are busy at work exploring their own books by finding the front cover, title, back cover, and where to start reading on each page. As I walk by students they are whispering, "day and night we read left to right" as their finger points to the words across the page! • Keep Calm and Wiggle On!

The students are so lucky to have someone like you to show that their education matters! We are now able to have movement time in the classroom and they are LOVING it! GoNoodle gets the class moving on rainy and days that are too hot to go outside for recess! • Every Artist Was First An Amateur!

  I wish you could have experienced the love and joy the kids felt when I introduced the new materials to the community! Our art center is fully stocked and and the craft scissors are the big hit! The projects they are making are wonderful and totally created by them with the supplies you donated to our room! The music center is up and running and may it be loud, it is a joy to hear. Most of students had no idea how to play an instrument and were so excited to try to play one. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and generosity! The students who are excelling in art and music have a very hard time in many academic areas and it makes me smile when they feel accomplished of their work or their music! Thank you!”

• Strong Readers Make Strong Citizens!

  our packages arrived this week and the class has been bursting with joy each time I open a box! We have started using the books during independent reading! Each student was elated to see they had brand new books to choose from in their book box! Students also started to use the ear phones to read in guided reading! One student told me she always wants to speak into the reading phone, it is peaceful and I can hear my expression so much better! Thank you for making my class feel special and support their journey as strong readers! I will start introducing the literacy centers next week and can't wait to have the students fall in love with reading!”
