Several of my students come to school unkempt, messy, and dressed without an awareness of and hygiene is a concern. Middle school is tough and every students deserves a fair shot. My goal is to have a cabinet full of necessities for the students to be able to access if they come to school unkempt. I will have items like soap, lip balm, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes and etc. for them to use. I would like to have a supply big enough for me to be able to give students items if they need to take anything home. It makes me sad to see students being made fun of because how of how their home life may be. I want students to have a safe place they can come and have access to the essentials they need to function as a teen.
