My classroom is organized into learning centers, where groups of students explore various art skills. My 30-35 students per class are able to choose areas of interest in the arts to explore, and also delve deeper into arts learning. I would like to add a new center for exploration of technology in the arts; activities will include animation, digital film-making, computer illustration, digital music production, app design, as well as coding and game design. Having an ipad and stylus for small groups of students to work on a project will help them explore these activities, and hopefully spark further exploration into technology and arts. Eventually, I hope to add at least 2 more ipads/stylus as a large number of my students have expressed an interested in this.
