  • Food For Thought: Snacks and Supplies for STEP Scholars

    Funded Feb 18, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation and help in finding this project. My students are so excited to start earning and feeling so much better about themselves and the world around them! These students sometimes feel like the world is against them and being able to say “look what I earned” will be so amazing for them.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Murphy

  • Squeeze, Pull, Roll and Win!

    Funded Sep 17, 2022

Thank you once again for your generous donations to my classroom. Students have taken full advantage of all the resources you provided them.

My students have been able to fully access their academic curriculum with the help of the sensory and fidget objects that your donations provided. My students LOVE picking out what fidget that they are going to be able to use daily. It has made a huge difference in the way they are able to access their day!

My students also have been able to enjoy appropriate social time by playing the board games you provided with their peers. They get so excited when they know it is time to play a game and that they are going to be able to relax and enjoy some time with their friends.

    Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Murphy

  • Sit, Stand and Wobble

    Funded Sep 17, 2022

I am beyond grateful for your donation to my classroom and students. These wonderful young men and women try so hard everyday to succeed in a world that sometimes isn’t built for them and your donations just made their lives a little easier! The world is a kinder place because of people like you!”

  • Making the World a Little Smaller!

    Funded Jul 19, 2018

Thank you so much for giving my classroom the gift of technology!

With our two new laptops and headphones my students have been able to not only access the Internet more frequently but are learning how to navigate the actual mechanics of using the computer. They have been practicing using the track pad, typing in the search bar, and learning how to turn the computer on and off properly.

The headphones allow the students to focus on their individual work without the distraction of classroom noise. They are learning responsibility by signing out a pair of headphones to do their work and then signing them back in when they are done.

Our classroom is a better place because of donors like you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Murphy

  • I Know It's Here Somewhere

    Funded Feb 22, 2018

Thank you so much for funding this project. A classroom that is organized is a better learning environment for student and teacher and your donations made this possible.

I was able to organize so many different materials; paper, markers, glue, math materials, rulers, scissors, these things all have a home now! This not only organized these materials but freed up the space these materials had previously been occupying allowing for even more storage and organization.

The students were so excited when we opened the new folders and they all received two each for their math and ELA materials! The pride that my students take in even the simple things makes the tough days all the more worth it.

Words can't express enough what this all has meant!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Murphy

  • Keep Our Classroom Clean

    Funded Jan 26, 2018

Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. We have been so blessed this year to receive so much kindness to make our days a little brighter.

My students and I have been so excited to keep our classroom cleaner. Everyone takes turns vacuuming the rug, our counters our cleaner due to our awesome paper towels and cleaner and all of our noses appreciates the tissues!

I couldn't do what I do for my students without your help. We continue to be so blessed and grateful for all the gifts that our donors help us with!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Murphy

  • Our Student Centered Learning Environment

    Funded Nov 20, 2017

Thank you so much for funding this project for our classroom. The rug is a much needed addition for our class gatherings and helps define the area so that my students know exactly what is expected during our time together in this specific area. The beanbag chairs, bouncy bands, wobble cushions and stay in place balls have made our classroom much calmer and my students are so much more attentive and engaged because they are able to use movement to calm and regulate themselves. The sensory toys also help my students calm themselves when sensory overload begins to set in. I can't thank you enough for understanding the needs of my special students and giving them the tools they need to self regulate and stay on task. You have made a huge difference in our classroom and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Murphy

  • Making the Most of Our Time Together!

    Funded Oct 12, 2017

Thank you so much for once again helping out my classroom. These much needed materials have made our classroom a better place to learn.

With the dry erase easel and magnets I have been able to instruct whole group lessons with ease! The kids loved deciding what materials we should put in the bins under the easels and being the "eraser helper".

The print ink has made it possible for me to make master copies of many great worksheets and leveled readers so that each child can get a better curriculum that is specifically created for their individual needs!

We couldn't do it without you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Murphy

  • Where Are We? How Did We Get Here?

    Funded Aug 5, 2017

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping enhance my students education. They were so excited when our new Social Studies Materials arrived. I planned to do a lesson with these materials once a week but some of my students want to earn the centers and books everyday!

We now have materials that we can refer to when we are trying to explain why we say The Pledge of Allegiance, why different places in the world wear different clothes and why our food is different.

We use the maps to point out where we are in the world and where our families come from! Thank you for making these things come alive for my students!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Murphy

  • Plan to Learn! Learn to Plan!

    Funded Jul 28, 2017

Thank you all once again for your generous donation to our classroom! Each day when a package arrived they were SO excited to help open the box and see what was inside! Some of these kids don't often receive new, straight from the box gifts so this was a real treat!

Between our new and improved reading corner and our completed "quiet area" I have never seen my students so calm, centered and ready to learn. And when things do get a little stressful we have our awesome "silent headphones" to help with the noise.

Our classroom is a little more complete and happy today because of each and everyone one of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Murphy

I am asking for materials to complete the "calm down/quiet area" in my classroom. Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder often have difficulty in processing information from the five senses. The sometimes need external tangible stimuli to regulated their physical and metal well being. During different parts of each child's day they may need a place to relax and get back on track. The carpet will offer a comfortable place to sit and read a book. The headphones and Yacker Tracker will help with classroom noise levels. And the balance ball chairs will provide alternative seating for students who require movement to stay focused.
