  • Be a Literacy Hero!

    At Anna Jarvis Elementary School, we have students of all different capabilities. I want my Anna Jarvis Elementary School's Library to serve the needs of all students. I asked for several books and supplies to help our students who have severe learning disabilities. Adaptive scissors, supplies, and library books that are age appropriate helped meet this need.

    It is so much easier having these supplies readily available for the students than to have to seek out the supplies for each project that I complete in the library.”

  • Library Books for AJES

    At Anna Jarvis Elementary School, we have a large population of students. They are not all super careful with their library books, even though they receive constant training with books. I have to still replace these library books yearly. Your donation has helped me be able to replace damaged books as well as to purchase new books for the Anna Jarvis Elementary School Library.

    The students are so excited to return to school and to get these new books. Many of them have waited all summer to read the next book in the series especially the Wings of Fire Books.”

  • Art Supplies, Books, and Sensory Tiles for AJES Library

    I cannot say thank you enough for all the supplies and sensory tiles that were purchased for the Anna Jarvis Elementary School Library. As soon as the students come into the library, they are fascinated by the tiles! They make sure to make a big loop around the library to see them. As a matter of fact, since they have been such a hit, I know now to try to order more of them.

    Your donation to the library truly made a difference. On the first day of library book checkout, the students immediately asked me, "What new books do you have Mrs. Knotts?" I was happy to show them all the new books that had been purchased.

    Thank you so much for your donations! The students who visit the library love the new book choices. Many titles chosen were student requests that have now been fulfilled.

    Students love choosing the new titles and are able to read various genres as well as new topics.

    Many of the books purchased were books that I would otherwise not have had access to obtain.

    Your generosity has touched the lives of many students who visit the library. Through your efforts, together we are broadening these students' reading choices and raising their reading levels.”

Students love to come to the library and ask me what new books I have. Typically, I only purchase new books twice a year. This project being funded will add new books an additional time this year. Books were chosen were based on student requests and deficits in the library. Some books that were chosen: chapter books, books about taking care of Earth, planting seeds, and books on lower levels that are of high interest.
