At our school, students don't have access to new and exciting things. Most students have never played with a yoga ball, or been allowed to move around when they are learning. They have been expected to sit in a chair and listen to the directions while being asked to learn about things they never dreamed of. My students can learn while moving. I have used a kickband with several students, and when my colleague got flexible seating I saw her students take off! I want to give my students that opportunity, and watch them be kids. I hope that through this movement my students will learn that there is no "required" way to learn, but that they will understand that through movement their learning can skyrocket.
