Help Our Class March To Its Own Beat

We received our instruments on Friday afternoon, and by Monday morning our new music station was up and running. The students were so excited to have real working instruments in their hands. We started our day with a musical parade to showcase each instrument. The joy they experienced was magical. The way they shared the names of the instruments with each other was amazing. They were ecstatic to create the sounds each instrument could make.
Going forward, the students will have daily access to the instruments in their stations. The students will express themselves and impress their friends with a weekly musical parade. We have also decided to ask the music teacher to help us create a showcase to present to our neighboring classes. We also plan to invite our donor and principal to a serenade session. The students have already expressed great interest in showing off their musical talent!”

Currently, my students are only allocated 15 minutes of music per week. To really experience music students need to be able to hold and use actual instruments. These students deserve the opportunity to make music with their own two hands. Our daily schedule contains time for music and movement. Currently, we do not have any musical instruments in our classroom to play with. I would like to have a variety of instruments for my students to make music. I want my student to feel the pure joy of making music and carry that love with them always. They should be given the chance to interact with the real instruments in person.
