Audio Books Make Awesome Readers
Funded Sep 14, 2018When I opened my email this afternoon to see that my project had been funded I was beyond amazed! Thank you so much for reaching into your own finances to bless my class. Teaching is a difficult job made easier when you feel supported. My students are looking forward to exploring reading through audio books!”

Teaching with Technology!
Funded Nov 28, 2017Thank you for your generous donation to my classroom. The tablets and table cases that you have donated have helped my students in every subject. We use them in math to enhance our skills through online practice. In reading for individualized student passages, and social studies for our online resources. They are used by my beginning level student through my most advanced students.
We are constantly lacking in technology, so without your support, my students would not have the benefit of these vital resources. Technology is a part of our world and we may as well use it to expand our education.
Without donors like you, many classrooms would be lacking!

Moving Bodies= Moving Minds!
Funded May 31, 2017This summer you graciously donated to my Moving Bodies= Moving Minds! Donors Choose project. I was able to get six wobble stools for my classroom. My students are currently rotating them around the room and each student get to sit in for one day out of the week. Weekly these stools are utilized by over 30 students and they are enjoying having an outlet for releasing their energy and improving their academics. Every day my kids come in and are asking if today is their day for the wobble stool!
When my students came to school the morning the wobble stools arrived they literally stopped in their tracks. We had talked about them so much that when they finally came they couldn't wait to try them! The first thing we did was discussed how to properly use the wobble stools. My kids came up with rules to make sure the stools were being used safely and efficiently by every student. I am happy to say that I have had 100% participation in following the rules they set in place.
I have currently been approved by Cobb County to start my second Donors Choose project. The project will focus on getting a set of IPads for student use in my rooms. it is amazing the learning that can transpire when all students have ready access to technology. Look for my Donors Choose post coming soon!
I cannot say enough how truly appreciative I am of your personally interest in my students and myself. Teaching is tough! So thank you for helping me be efficient with my time. Wasted Time=Wasted Knowledge. My students aren't wasting their time because they are moving their bodies and their minds! Thank you.”
