Bringing Color and Life to Math

Funded Feb 8, 2023

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my teaching heart and as you know as a teacher my heart runs deep with love for my students and passion for my craft.

In this new age of technology, students are completing many projects on computers and then printing them to turn them in. This is where the printer we received comes in. Many of my students are able to print their assignments, not only for my class but for other subject classes as well. My students are ever grateful to be able to print with ease and submit assignments in a timely manner.

For me, as a math teacher that needs to be able to print additional worksheets on the fly, or strategy sheets, and various other tools that help my students be successful, I am truly appreciative and grateful. My job has become exponentially easier because of my ability to print.

I asked my students how they feel about having a printer in the classroom, and I received a resounding "No!!"; followed by smirks and laughs. The students said, "It's too easy for you to give us worksheets for classwork and homework!." I said, "So then having the printer is a good thing," to which agreed. They understand the benefit of having a classroom printer and even though they understand that it allows them to have access to worksheets with ease, they know that the extra practice is for their benefit.”

With gratitude,

Mr. Mattis
