After attending the Pathfinders Summer Institute my students will be learning coding through ScratchJr. and KIBO. Updated pictures to follow. Students will continue to use their new STEM Notebook as a resource of information on the Next Generation Science Standards. They will visit the Engineering Lab and complete different Engineering projects using the design process building submersibles, levees, and vehicles. They will take notes on science videos from our Stemscopes program. In the front they will keep a Table of Contents to help them navigate their notes for assessments. The notebook compliments the current common core standards, such as note-taking. Notebooks will provide all of my students ownership of their work and help them become scientists, engineers, artists and mathematicians while developing organizational skills.
