  • Makerspace Supplies!

    Funded Jan 30, 2025

Thank you for the supplies! We appreciate your donation. Students enjoy arts and craft and having supplies in stock is a a beautiful thing to have. In their free time, students head straight to the games and craft carts. It is wonderful to see them spend time creating and expressing themselves! Creating a space for students is important because all students need a place that they not only feel welcomed but a place that they enjoy being in. The library is not just a place to borrow books but a place that students can hang out, play games, do arts and crafts, etc. Thank you for making the library a place to be and proving resources for students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Molina

  • Fun in the library!

    Funded Jan 13, 2025

Thank you for your donation to support the library in providing resources to students. Students have been enjoying the button maker station and the games that are in the library. I had two students recently use the button maker machine and the had a smile the whole time. They spent the whole lunch period, drawing and adding stickers to their button. Without you, this experience would not have been possible. I truly appreciate your support! Students enjoy coming to the library and having a variety of activities available for them to use at their enjoyment.”

  • Be Fun and Expressive in the Library!

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

The students were a 100% interested in the button maker machine. Many students gravitated toward the button making station and had fun designing their buttons. There were many trial and errors but each student had fun. The button maker machine and supplies is a new activity that students get to enjoy when they visit the library. Little by little I am able to transform the library into not only a safe hang out space but a place for fun activities and games. It is a happy moment each time I see the students enjoy their time in the library. Thank you to all the donors for making the library space a fun place for the students.”

  • Manga Madness: Light a Spark for Reading!

    Funded Oct 4, 2024

We appreciate your support. Our students are enjoying the new additions to a beloved manga series. They are excited to check them out. Building a library collection with titles that students will enjoy is one of my goals. They are happy to see the books on the shelves. A majority of our students don't have the opportunity to visit public libraries and our school library is there only source for books. We strive to make our students interested in reading and these books are a way to keep students coming back. I have a few students who are avid readers of this series and they come every day (before school and after school) to check out more volumes. THANK YOU!”

  • Game On!

    Funded Sep 19, 2024

My students are loving the new additions to the game area. The Lego baseplates were a hit. Students are going about building their creations and genuinely having fun. The oversize chess board game and Wordle have enticed more students to play during their time in the library. I am happy with the new storage unit. Students are able to easily find and store games, arts and crafts materials. Thank you to The Maxwell/Hanrahan Foundation for making this project possible. My goal is to make the library a safe and welcoming space for all students. This project has made it possible for me to provide students with more enrichment activities. Thank you.”

  • Seeing and Understanding Through Books!

    Funded Mar 9, 2024

Thank you Dow and donors for bringing this project to life. The books are wonderful. We were able to make a display with the books chosen. I heard many comments from students and staff that they were excited to see books about their holiday and books with characters that look like them.

I am extremely grateful for the donations. One of my main goals is to create an inclusive and diverse library collection. I want our students to feel welcomed and seen. Thank you. The students are happy to see a book display that is representative of them. They are happy to be seen.”

  • Devouring Manga Books!

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

WOW! You are amazing! Thank you for your donation. These books are a great hit with our students! My students are very excited to have new graphic novel titles. Especially the books featuring cats!

Getting books into students hands is our ultimate goal. Books that are of high interest can motivate students to pick up a book and read. It is always fun to see their reactions and amazement to realize that some of their favorite shows are actually inspired by books - books that they can now read and enjoy.”

  • Let's Read in Spanish!

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

I am thrilled that the project was fully funded! Everyone's contribution is helping us grow our collection of Spanish books. We have a greater number of students who primarily speak and read in Spanish. Having access to resources is important. It is wonderful to see students light up and see more Spanish books available to them. They see their peers reading books and are asking me if we have those titles available in Spanish. While our collection is still relatively small, I am able to provide them with more titles- even popular titles! Thank you!!!”

  • Look, Learn, Listen and Create!

    Funded Aug 10, 2023

Thank you for your generous donations! We are beyond grateful for your kindness and support. The teachers and I are excited to use the books, and craft items in future activities. We are exploring ways to incorporate the materials and make world climate issues more relatable to students. We are also making the items donated available to students who are participated in this year's STEAM fair! We are excited in helping students find topics they wish to explore and having these resources available is a great asset to our school community. Thank you!”
