Individual Centers and Celebration Wishes
Funded Sep 3, 2021My most sincere apologies for the tardiness in extending my thanks to you. Your kindness and generosity has been demonstrated time and time again and it does not go unnoticed.
Within my classroom this past year, students were overjoyed with the amount of love showered upon them through your kindness. Each student received birthday bags filled with pencils, stickers, a crazy straw, and a beanie baby (previously purchased). As a class we would sing to them as they sat on our classroom share chair and presented them with their gifts. I know from all the smiles that they all felt truly special on "their day".
Additionally, with the manipulatives that were purchased, students were able to explore their learning on a different level. Their favorite was the watercolors. I would create "mystery paintings" using white crayons to make the objective and students would paint a watercolor scene to discover the hidden pictures. I used this first for letter identification and later in the year cvc words. It was a big hit and all thanks to you! Thank you so much again!”

Funded Dec 1, 2020This school year has posed a myriad of challenges to so many teachers across our country and around the world. With donors like you, helping teachers in implementing various tools to help their students is a grace without compare. My project to help my students get their wiggles out has meant so much within our kindergarten classroom. Without a playground and equipment that can be shared, students were limited in expending energy. This translated to students not being able to focus in class, inability to gain new information as a consequence of that inability to focus and sit for periods of time, as well as behavior challenges. With the incorporating of gross motor equipment that could be used without touching a surface, my students experience was changed exponentially. My students are excited for recess and using the equipment still months later. They are able to focus better in class because they are expanding that excess energy that comes with the age. Again, thank you so very much for helpinh me in giving my students something they so very much needed; an awesome kindergarten experience.”

Funded Jun 17, 2019Thank you for your patience in waiting for these well deserved thanks. My students finally received their long awaited center activities after having been lost in the move to our school's new location. I appreciate your understanding! Having hands-on manipulatives makes such a huge impact when considering early childhood education! My classroom is full of diverse learners; each with different learning styles. Offering more varieties of learning opportunities ensures that students have that many more chances to further engrain skills.
During our center rotation students have mastered how to use the materials properly and use them daily. Their favorites are the word work file folders and the monkey counting scales. Learning through play and games is truly awesome to be able to foster. Thank you so very much!”

Funded Nov 27, 2018I wish you could've been there the day the giant boxes arrived to my room. I told my students that we received some pretty big gifts as a result of the immense generosity of others; some global thinkers, just like them. Their eyes lit up when they returned from core enrichment and I had assembled it during my planning. I simply couldn't wait to share it!
As younger learners' minds are growing, their bodies are growing and crave movement throughout their days in class. Our new flexible seating options have allowed my students alternatives when it comes to working in class. The students love sitting at the "round table" as they call it and I love that when they are there, I know 90% of the time their work is getting done. Win win in my book. The addition of the Kindle Fire has given my students more independence in publishing their work in their digital portfolios and increasing parent involvement; for which I am forever grateful. Thank you so much for your contribution to my project and supporting my students! Thank you for valuing education and educators.”
