  • Comfy Carpet for the Classroom!

    Funded Oct 25, 2021

Thank you so much for finding out donors choose project! Right now our school is going through a remodel, so we do not have carpet or tile. We joke that we are learning on our garage floor! This large carpet rug will give us a mother place to gather together to learn! I will also be giving the water bottles to the kids who don’t have one.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cahill

  • Cool Stuff for Some Really Cool Kids!

    Funded Oct 11, 2021

I am so excited to let my kids know that our project is funded!!! Their chrome books are old and the mouse pads do not always work, so the mice that we are getting will help so much! We are also excited for the extra headphones and the extension cord to help with charging chrome books.

    Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

I'm so grateful that you have funded my project! These last two years have been up, down and around the corner. Kids and teachers both are working as hard as we can to progress through this time in our lives. These supplies will help us smile and get right to work! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

  • Helping Students Smile Through Their Masks!

    Funded Oct 26, 2020

I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for all of the supplies that my classroom received. With the year that we had, wearing masks and social distancing, it was so nice to have some fun things to give to the kids. Smelly stickers, for instance! The kids loved getting the stickers on their papers. Each year I create projects to be funded and am always amazed how people pull through and donate to our projects. The Limeades for Learning is such a great way to get this done! I am hopeful to build a new project this year!

Again, thank you all so much for your help making my students smile during a pandemic!”

    With gratitude,

  • Hodgepodge of a Classroom Part 3

    Funded Oct 28, 2019

First off, I just want to say thank you from our entire classroom for these chrome books! We have utilized them in many ways!

One way that we use these to integrate technology into the classroom is by doing basic math facts on a math website (Xtra Math) every morning. The kids get them out, log in, and do their facts. When they are done, they go and get the next designated student until all students have done their math facts for the day.

Another way that the kids use chrome books in the room, is in our writing time. The kids will type their stories and essays on google docs when they are done revising and editing. They love to see their work printed off!

Lastly, we use them with researching. We research with writing, social studies, and science!!! They can be assigned individual videos to watch, they can collect information about a specific topic, or even look up information about local and state government! Plus, much more!

I cannot say enough about how much the technology that you supplied us has helped us in our classroom! The kids are always looking forward and in line to use them any time that they can. The area rug only makes more comfortable space to use our technology on!”

  • Hodgepodge of a Classroom Part 2

    Funded Oct 21, 2019

First off, I just want to say thank you from our entire classroom for these items that we've received. We have utilized them in many ways!

One way that we use our lap desks and comfy floor seats is during Reading and Math time. No one likes to work at their desk all day, these resources get my students onto the ground and stretched out where they can be comfortable. I believe that when kids are comfortable, they are more inclined to do their best work!

The display shelves hold all of my group reading books. The kids are able to see them on a daily basis and decide which books they will read next! I also have the sentence strip holders for my vocabulary words. This has been such a great addition to this room. I no longer have to tape them up to the wall each week!

Our colorful clipboards are amazing. The kids love these and use these when they are working away from their desks.

Lastly, our new records are so fun to listen to in the room when we are working on writing and math. The kids are learning how to use the record player and also how to take care of something as fragile as a record.

I cannot say enough about how much these items have helped us in our classroom! The kids are always looking forward and in line to use them any time that they can!”

  • Hodgepodge of a Classroom

    Funded Oct 15, 2019

First off, I just want to say thank you from our entire classroom for these items that we've received. We have utilized them in many ways! And with the charging station, we can keep it all organized and charged all day long!

One way that we use our lap desks and comfy floor seats is during Reading and Math time. No one likes to work at their desk all day, these resources get my students onto the ground and stretched out where they can be comfortable. I believe that when kids are comfortable, they are more inclined to do their best work!

Another charging station has helped keep everything organized in our classroom. We no longer have to just have our computers in a basket with the cords going everywhere and getting tangled on a daily basis. We now are able to put them away nicely and are able to easily see if they are plugged in or not.

Lastly, our colorful clipboards are amazing. The kids love these and use these when they are working away from their desks.

I cannot say enough about how much these items have helped us in our classroom! The kids are always looking forward and in line to use them any time that they can!”

    Funded Mar 9, 2019

I cannot begin to thank you for your generous donations to my classroom. The kids and I are so excited to start using our new math tools to help improve fluency in math. Additionally, we can add this to our math centers to work through the different resources that were given to us! Everything is so colorful! The kids have been so excited to use these and learn about place value and number sense. I love that as a teacher, we are given all of the instructions that we need. We are forever grateful!!!”

What do I tell you about the third graders that I am lucky to teach every year? I don't know where to start. We are always learning something new! I try to get my kids up and moving as much as I can. I believe that collaborative work can help my students. They figure out right away that we are a family and that we take care of each other and help each other. They know that I am human and make mistakes and I try to make them feel as comfortable as possible, so that they aren't discouraged when they do make mistakes in their learning. We always try to say thoughtful things in our whole class discussions. I love my job and all of the kids that have walked into my classroom. I can only hope that I have made a positive impact on each and every one of them.
