  • Practicing Our Skills

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

Thank you very much for your generosity to our classroom. My students will be able to practice skills needed to be successful in their English Language Arts classroom through the use of activities, practice, and incentives. It is greatly appreciated by both my fifth-grade English language arts students and myself.”

  • TpT Resources

    Funded Jan 26, 2023

he addition of new math resources has greatly benefited our classroom, providing valuable tools for engaging and effective learning experiences. One particular project that has been successful is our "Math Explorers" initiative. With the introduction of hands-on manipulatives, such as counting blocks, geometric shapes, and measuring tools, students have been able to deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts through active exploration and problem-solving.

When the students first saw the math resources, their eyes lit up with curiosity and enthusiasm. They eagerly embraced the opportunity to engage with tangible materials that brought abstract mathematical ideas to life. The variety of tools and manipulatives sparked their creativity and encouraged collaborative learning.

In our next math lesson, we will be focusing on fractions. The new math resources, including fraction bars and fraction circles, will play a central role in helping students grasp the concept of fractions visually and conceptually. By manipulating the fraction pieces, they will gain a concrete understanding of how fractions work, allowing them to make connections between whole numbers, parts of a whole, and equivalent fractions.

In addition to the hands-on resources, we have also incorporated technology into our math lessons. The introduction of interactive math software and educational apps has provided students with personalized learning opportunities. They can engage in interactive exercises, practice problem-solving skills, and receive immediate feedback, allowing for individualized progress and a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.

Overall, the new math resources have enriched our classroom and transformed the way students engage with math. The hands-on manipulatives have made abstract concepts tangible, fostering a deeper understanding and promoting critical thinking. The combination of interactive technology and traditional resources has allowed for personalized learning experiences, catering to the diverse needs and learning styles of our students.

We are immensely grateful to our donors for their support in providing these math resources. Their contribution has empowered our students to develop a solid foundation in mathematics and fostered a positive attitude towards the subject. We look forward to further exploring and expanding our use of these resources to continue promoting mathematical proficiency and a love for learning in our classroom.”

  • "Sharpening" Our Math Skills!

    Funded Mar 14, 2018

When my students first saw the package arrive the excitement to have a new sharpeners was amazing. Something so small makes their learning much easier. We were previously using handheld sharpeners that would constantly break. Our electric sharpener was no longer working properly and students would have to stand their for a while, disrupting class with the noise in hopes that any moment the pencil would sharpen. It became frustrating. Now they are able to sharpen with ease, avoid the distractions to the classroom.

When the package arrived a student said, "This maybe the best day ever!" which made me smile. This small tool is something they need on a daily basis, especially in math class where pencils are ALWAYS used. We are so grateful for your generosity and support!”

Having the proper materials will give students a better opportunity to thrive in the classroom. This is what I am trying to accomplish with my project. I would like to give my students the basic necessities to help them explore areas of math. These materials are going to be very beneficial for my students to grow as mathematicians. Students will be able to use the white copy paper to work out math problems and analyze the work of their peers in order to solve. The dry erase markers will allow them to work out problems and edit easily on white boards. Every good math student does their work in pencils, which is why I am requesting these also for my students. Mistakes are expected, respected, inspected, and corrected in math class and using erasers and pencils allow us to do so. Lined paper will students to take proper notes on mathematical vocabulary. We will also be able to display our newly learned vocabulary using the permanent markers. Supplies are needed in order to people real world mathematicians and my students will use each supply in order to achieve their mathematical goals.
