My students are a diverse group of students who are curious and smart and willing to engage in discovery learning. The more information I can give them, the better we can work on critical thinking skills that will help them in a multitude of ways, including ways in which they can apply what they learn in the real world. This is probably the most important lesson the students learn, and so I try to engage them in ways that will help them become effective agents of change in their communities. Through this Socratic method of asking questions and fostering intellectual discussions, my students learn to generalize what they learn and become valuable minds for our school and our community.
